Our Star of the Week is a friend that like the color orange, loves to eat pizza, and wants to be a police officer when he grown up. We will be so safe with him in charge!!
Attributes
This week in math we have been studying attributes of objects. Attributes means the characteristics of each item. What color is it? Does it have straight lines? Any curves or vertices (Yup!! Your child says vertices (corners) and know what it means!!)? What color is it? Etc….. We used cereal to find the attributes of each item and then sorted them. We also found the attributes of the basic shapes this week. Did you know that a square is a rectangle, but a rectangle is never a square!! It's a funny fact!!
On Thursday, we celebrated the letter Pp with Pancakes and Pajamas. We used our cookbook to follow the recipe. We also added some food coloring to make our pancakes orange for Halloween. Did you know that red and yellow make orange!!! They were so yummy!!
Red Ribbon Week
This week we are declaring our lives drug free!!! We learned what drugs are (anything we put in our bodies that makes it sick and not work correctly). Everyday, we celebrated by dressing as something fun!
MONDAY-Love yourself…Wear red!
TUESDAY--Twin day!
WEDNESDAY--school shirt or color day
THURSDAY-Camo day (and also Pancakes and Pajamas)
We got to watch a video from a presenter about drugs and what we can do instead of drugs (like skateboarding, or drawing, or bicycling)
FRIDAY-Character Dress up Day!
