This week we started studying Community Helpers. These are adults that have jobs that help other people. We have studied several different jobs. We have even had real-life visitors come to our class to tell us about their jobs. As part of our study, we dressed up like a Community Helper. We had a lots of fabulous jobs represented including chefs, teachers, doctors, soldiers, police officers, and a mail man.
We also had a the opportunity to learn more about fire safety and the job of a fireman when the firefighters visited our school. We loved the aerial ladder, the lights and sirens, and when the fireman found Batman on our roof! (P.S.-Batman now lives at Grand Prairie fire station number 9!!)
