Our Star of the Week is a friend that loves the color blue, playing Mario Brothers, and eating strawberries. When he grows up, he wants to be a Dentist. He will be such a great one, too!!
Peace and No Name Calling Week
This week, we have celebrated Martin Luther King's legacy by having a peace and no name calling week. The week we have lessons that promote friendship, sharing and being polite. We wore silly socks and shoes to show that calling our friends names is sooooo silly!!
Eating Octopus
Our letter this week was the letter Oo. To celebrate the letter Oo we made Octopus Stew….and then we made octopus. It was so yummy, but don't tell Mrs. Nieves that is is really hot dogs. She still thinks we ate octopus!!!
Student of Character Award
This month our student of character is a friend that exhibits responsibility. Responsibility is doing your job, doing your homework, and helping around the classroom….even before the teacher asks! This friend is definitely responsible. He always brings his homework back, works hard in class, and helps his friends when they need it. Thanks for being a great role model!!!
